Introduction

FEV.io is supporting numerous OEMs in the transition towards a more virtual environment framework that places simulation at the heart of the development and verification/validation activities for highly automated driving functions and ADAS functions
Approach
Virtual development and validation of ADAS functions:
- FEV.io develops scenario-based systems engineering approaches for the development of ADAS / AD functions and SW enabling the necessary traceable documentation from the requirement to the virtual and real-world testing.
- Legislative and stakeholder requirements are refined down to the software level ensuring full traceability. The model serves as a baseline for software development and digital twin (Virtual-ECU) implementation.
- Modeling of ODD and refinement into logical scenarios for each use case using FEV Foundry SysML profiles.
- Automatic generation of scenarios in OpenSCENARIO format and machine-readable test cases including pass/fail criteria based on formalized CUBE specification.
- Import of logical scenarios and test cases into simulator.
- Execution of scenario-based SIL tests (incl. parameter variation) with the virtual ECU in the virtual environment.
